EVSE Powers Up WA: $5 Million Investment to Supercharge Fast Charging Across Perth and Regional WA

EVSE Australia has announced a $5 million investment to expand Western Australia’s DC fast-charging network, delivering reliable, high-powered public chargers in locations people actually want to visit.

The initiative will focus on high-traffic metro sites and key regional routes, supporting the growing number of electric vehicle (EV) drivers who need dependable, fast, and convenient charging options. These chargers will be powered on Exploren, Australia’s fastest growing OCPP Public Charging network

“We’re investing in performance and reliability — not just plugs in the ground,” said Sam Korkees CEO. “WA drivers deserve charging that’s fast, easy, and always ready when they are.”

Charging in Minutes, Not Hours

The new chargers will feature high-powered DC technology capable of adding up to 600 km of range in around 15 minutes, depending on the vehicle. This allows drivers to grab a coffee, shop, or stretch their legs — and be ready to go in the time it takes to refuel a petrol car.

“Charging should be simple, fast and reliable,” said [EVSE spokesperson or CEO name]. “This investment ensures drivers across WA have access to the same high-performance charging experience they expect in other major global cities.”

Built for Reliability

One of the biggest frustrations for EV drivers is arriving at a charger that’s offline or occupied. EVSE’s new rollout will prioritise redundancy and uptime, with each site featuring multiple DC ports, 24/7 monitoring via Exploren, and Australian-based service support to keep the network running.

“Our commitment goes beyond installing hardware,” the spokesperson continued. “We’re investing in the reliability and long-term performance of each charger — because access is meaningless without trust.”

Strategic Locations: Where People Want to Be

Rather than hiding chargers in industrial backlots, EVSE’s network expansion will place chargers in destinations people already visit — including:

  • Shopping centres and entertainment precincts
  • Tourist attractions and coastal towns
  • Major highway rest stops and travel corridors

This strategy ensures maximum convenience for everyday drivers and long-distance travellers alike.

Supporting WA’s Clean Transport Future

Western Australia’s EV adoption continues to grow rapidly, backed by government incentives and an expanding state-funded charging network. EVSE’s private investment complements this momentum, helping build the infrastructure backbone needed for mass adoption.

This $5 million investment will not only improve access but also future-proof WA’s charging ecosystem, paving the way for ultra-fast 350 kW charging as newer EVs hit the road.

“WA’s geography demands reliability and speed,” said Sam Korkees. “Our chargers are built for Australian conditions, giving drivers confidence to explore further and travel cleaner.”
