Frequently asked questions

Will this work with my car?

If your EV has a Type 2 charging port, yes. A Type 2 port is a round socket with 7 pins and a flat top edge. Nearly every EV sold in Australia uses it. Some older models, such as the first-generation Nissan Leaf and earlier Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV, use a Type 1 port instead. If you’re unsure, contact our team before you order.

Will this bundle make my car charge faster?

The bundle gives you two ways to charge. The portable charger plugs into a standard power outlet and charges at up to 1.84 kW. The cable connects your car to a home or public charging station and is rated up to 22kW (three phase). Your actual charging speed is set by whichever is lowest; the charger or station, the cable’s rating and your car’s onboard charger. If you’re getting less than you expect, our team can help work out why.

Can I use this as an extension lead?

No. This cable is designed to connect your EV to a charging station only.
