How Sydney Trains Expanded their EV fleet and Embraced Sustainability with EVSE Australia
Schwartz's Partnership with EVSE
Schwartz Family Co are Australia’s largest privately owned hotel group in Australia. With over 14 hotels and 4000 rooms, they look to provide the best experience for their guests. Scwartz collectively receive 2 million guests annually, therefore they have come to recognise the importance of keeping pace with the shift in the transport industry. Committed to continually upgrading their systems to incorporate the very best in minimising waste and renewable energy, Schwartz have chosen EVSE to provide an EV charging solution. EVSE was responsible for end-to-end solutions for an extensive network of EV chargers, backed by Exploren software.
Driven to be Sustainable
With over 14 hotels currently owned by Schwartz Family Co, they strive to be at the top of their game in sustainability. Owning two operational solar farms which feed into the grid, Schwartz are able to lower their carbon footprint, reducing emissions emitted while offsetting the usage of their hotels. The choice to incorporate EV infrastructure within their hotels not only elevates their sustainability efforts but highlights them as a leader in the hotel industry.
Future Ready
Currently Schwartz have installed over 30 EV charging stations within their hotels including the Ocular IQ Commercial and Ocular IQ Wallbox.
With further plans for expansion, Schwartz are looking to add additional chargers across all hotels to enhance convenience for their guests.
Recognising that many of their hotels are located away from major city centres, they prioritise providing access to fully charged vehicles. This is important as it enables guests to continue their journey, without frequent reliance on public charging infrastructure.
Looking ahead, Schwartz is preparing to meet the growing demand for EVs by not only expanding their network of chargers but also by integrating emerging technologies into their infrastructure.
Backed by Exploren
Schwartz’s network of chargers, provided by EVSE are backed by Exploren’s trusted and reliable software. The integration of the charging management software platform enables the hotel group to easily adjust tariff rates and bill users based on charging duration. The app is also simple for hotel guests to use, simply scan the QR code and initiate charging.
Schwartz can also access valuable insights into guests charging behaviours through the Exploren software, including analysis of charging duration, kilowatt-hour consumption, and session data. These features allow Schwartz to make educated decisions that help elevate their customers’ experience.
Powering Australian Getaways
