EV Charging Station Tester | Metrel | MI 3136 XC

This electric vehicle charging station testing equipment allows you to service and test EV chargers deployed in public and commercial areas for electrical safety and compliance to AS/NZS 3017 standards.

The Metrel MI 3136 EurotestCOMBO XC Multifunction Installation Tester can be used to check the installation, functionality and safety of EV charging stations and all other aspects of electrical installations. It features EVSE testing support and AUTO SEQUENCE® functionality, enabling the user to check every aspect of EV charging stations at the push of a button.

In addition, the MI 3136 can check TN and TT earthing systems and features four predefined automatic test sequences. It is equipped with a comprehensive range of measurement procedures and tests:

• Insulation resistance with DC test voltage from 50V to 1000V
• Continuity of PE conductors with 200mA DC test current with automatic polarity reversal
• Continuity of PE conductors with 7mA test current without RCD tripping
• Loop impedance and line impedance measurement
• Loop impedance with Trip Lock RCD function
• True-RMS voltage and frequency
• General and selective RCD testing (types AC, A, F, B, B+)
• Earth resistance (3-wire method)
• Automated RCD testing procedure (RCD AUTO)

On-site testing of EVSE charging station installation. Initial and periodic testing of private, semi-private and public EV charging stations.

MEASURING FUNCTION: 

• Insulation resistance with DC test voltage from 50V to 1000V (test voltages: 50V, 100V, 250V, 500V, 1000V)
• Continuity of PE conductors with 200mA DC test current with automatic polarity reversal
• Continuity of PE conductors with 7mA test current without RCD tripping
• 2-wire and 3-wire loop impedance (L-PE) measurement with Trip Lock RCD function
• 2-wire and 3-wire line impedance (L-L, L-N) measurement
• Loop impedance without RCD tripping (Zs RCD function)
• TRMS voltage measurement: 0–550V
• TRMS frequency measurement: 14–499.9Hz
