It’s Never Been Easier to Get Approval
Recent changes to strata legislation have made EV charging approval simpler for Owners Corporations. In NSW, EV charging is now classed as Sustainability infrastructure, meaning approval only requires a simple majority rather than the previous 75% special resolution – and by-laws can no longer block installation on aesthetic grounds alone.

Frequently Asked Questions
EV infrastructure will need to be in place to support mass residential charging. This can include switchboard upgrades, distribution boards (EVDB), cable tray, communication upgrades and load control installations. A site assessment will determine which of these will need to be included in our approach to installation.
EVSE will approach our feasibility to avoid upgrading any electrical infrastructure, with an assessment of whether the apartment is capable of supporting EV charging in its current state. We have hardware and software to assist in load managing, which is the primary concern when it comes to mass EV charging implementation.
With CaaS, EVSE reimburses all electricity costs and recovers them directly from the driver at the point of charging - your OC is never out of pocket. If you choose to purchase infrastructure outright instead, our Exploren software still handles billing and cost recovery on your behalf.
Under CaaS, EVSE handles all maintenance as part of your monthly subscription. Hardware purchased outright comes with a 2-year warranty covering EVSE workmanship and fault.
