When installing an EV charger at home, a qualified electrician will need to install a dedicated cable rated to support the charger. They will also ensure that safety measures are properly implemented in your switchboard. EVSE’s installation network guarantees quality and compliance with AS3000 standards. By choosing EVSE, you receive a 2-year warranty covering both the hardware and installation.
Installing in an apartment can be more complex than in a standard home due to the need for body corporate approval. Each building is assessed on a case-by-case basis, and the hardware required may vary depending on the specific site requirements. Yes! The IQ Home is a solar-compatible charger with three modes: Fast, Solar Assist, and Solar Only. If you have solar panels installed, you can charge your EV using solar energy. Additionally, with the IQ Home, you can future-proof your setup for when you decide to install solar panels later down the track.
Yes, the charging speed can differ based on available power, your vehicle, charging equipment, and state regulations. Some states (QLD and SA) have a limit on maximum charging rates while others (NSW, VIC, WA, TAS and ACT) don’t.
