MG Australia’s first full EV ground up design gives us the sporty MG4. Whereas the ZS EV is an electric version of an existing model the MG4 sits on a dedicated EV architecture which allows for significant improvements in range and internal styling. The vehicle will be available in a standard and long-range model allowing customers the choice of smaller range and lower prices. Smart! Personally this is giving EV owners the option of matching their requirements.  Powering the MG4 250 Nm torque engine that gets you from 0-100 in 7.7 seconds. My favourite the long range comes with a 72kWh lithium-ion battery, which enables up to 440 kilometers of emissions-free driving. Recharging from zero to 80 percent takes 30 minutes using a 120kW fast charger, otherwise, a AC will need around seven hours for a full juice at 11kW. Our recommended charger is the 22kw that will allow the vehicle to be charged in 7 hours. As a pure electric vehicle, it’s a must to have a fast charging option, especially if you intend to drive more than 80km a day due to the slow speed of standard wall portable chargers.
