The Geely Starray EM-1 is a mid-size plug-in hybrid SUV entering the Australian market in Q4 2025. It brings Geely’s new EM-i Super Hybrid tech to the lineup, designed for drivers seeking strong efficiency, flexible performance, and modern features without a full electric price tag.
One of the Starray EM-i’s most impressive specs is its 83 km pure-electric (EV) range (WLTP). It also delivers a combined driving range of up to 943 km, with very low fuel consumption around 2.4L/100 km under mixed conditions.

The driving dynamics of the Starray EM-1 aim for both smooth electric take-offs and confident hybrid support. It’s powered by a 160kW electric motor paired with a 1.5-litre petrol engine, with a combined output of 193 kW sent to the front wheels.
For EV charging, the Starray’s battery is an 18.4 kWh Lithium-Iron Phosphate (LFP) pack. Fast charging is possible up to approximately 30 kW DC, and it also supports AC charging. Additionally, it features Vehicle to Load capabilities, allowing external devices to be powered from the vehicle.
