General Overview

The Electric Vehicle Destination Charging Grant Program provides funding to assist small to medium Tasmanian tourism businesses in installing AC destination EV chargers for visitors staying overnight. The program supports Tasmania’s commitment to becoming a leading destination for climate-conscious travel, as outlined in the Government’s 2030 Visitor Economy Strategy.

Delivered in two rounds, round 1 has a total funding pool of $125,000. Eligible businesses can receive up to $2,500 per charger, for a maximum of four chargers meaning up to $10,000 per business.
