Business Development Manager Job Description

The Role

As a Business Development Manager, you will be on the frontline representing our business and our brand with customer and partner enquiries. The core aim of the BDM is to win sales and establish great relationships with new and existing customers. In your role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end solution deployment of EV charging through initial discovery meetings, solutions proposals, and acting as the main point of contact during a deployment. This role will also provide significant forecasting and reporting for senior management in the business.

The role is office-based (Port Melbourne), with frequent travel to customer sites.

  • Point of contact for customers during a deployment
  • Maintaining fruitful relationships with existing customers

Main duties

· Contacting clients to inform them about new developments in the company’s products

· Developing quotes and proposals

· Develop new and existing customer relationships by leveraging a consultative sales approach that results in increased sales and customer satisfaction

· Be responsible for sales pipeline, account plan development and budget/goal management

· Negotiating and renegotiating by phone, email, and in person

· Training personnel and helping team members develop their skills

· Weekly Report to management pipeline progress and get pricing approved

· Maintenance of CRM system (Hubspot) with up to date contact details and information

Key Performance Indicators

Sales of $1,500,000 and growing within the first year.

All activity logged in Hubspot CRM

Up-to-date account management

Weekly management reporting

Desirable

An electrical, energy, engineering or technical sales background is desirable but not essential.

Experience with Hubspot CRM System and DEAR Systems preferred

Essential

Australian Drivers License and Own Vehicle

Australian Citizen or holder of an Australian resident visa
